Who We Are

Exchange Teacher Training is an accredited provider of Initial Teacher Training (ITT) in the North of England.

It is founded upon a well-established partnership of credible organisations in Yorkshire and the Humber, the North East and West, North Lincolnshire and Northeast Lincolnshire, united by a shared moral purpose to improve the quality of education for children and young people. The accountable body is Delta Academies Trust, comprising 58 high performing academies across Yorkshire and the Humber – and beyond. Together, we offer an ambitious, evidence-informed programme to develop reflective practitioners who will inspire the next generation and improve both the outcomes and life chances of the young people we serve.

Our initial teacher training is rooted in local, credible schools. You will be immersed in classroom practice from the very start, but you will not be alone. Your mentor will oversee your learning journey along with the lead mentor, subject lead and a dedicated central team, all devoted to ensuring your success on our programme. At weekly centre-based training, held in regional locations, you and your peers will engage with the most recent and rigorous educational research and explore what great teachers know and do. We will support you to build professional friendships during your training that will last a lifetime.
